Average digitisation duration

  • Without item lines digitisation: 2-3 seconds
  • With item lines digitisation: 6-7 seconds

Default limits

DIGI limits document requests per customer to keep processing responsive and fair for everyone.

10 documents every 3 seconds

Example: You can send up to 10 API requests in parallel. Requests above the limit are rejected immediately with HTTP 429.

Handling rate-limit responses

A 429 response includes a Retry-After header. Wait for the specified number of seconds before retrying the request. For larger workloads, use retry backoff and avoid sending every retry at the same instant.

Recommended single usage

  • No limit danger: use as you like.
  • Accepted file types: PDF, JPG, PNG, TIF, BMP, DOCX, HEIC
  • Max file size: 20MB
  • No image preprocessing necessary

Recommended bulk usage

Ideal case - await batches

Do up to 10 requests in parallel. Wait for the responses, then start the next batch. This takes full advantage of our parallel processing capabilities without deliberately exceeding the rate limit.

Larger parallel workloads

If you submit more than 10 requests within 3 seconds, some requests may receive a 429 response. Retry those requests according to the Retry-After header.

Max series case

Send 10 requests. Wait 3 seconds. Send another 10 requests. Repeat until all documents have been submitted.
